Those feckless idiots/help with sponsorship -
28-05-2005
I am a member of a club, whose commitee has not got any sponsorship for it for next year. As a member of said commitee I am partly to blame even though it isn't my responsibility (I am in charge of medical supplies) but I think I might have to sort it out seeing as our chairman has disappeared and our treasurer has left for home. (!)
Can anybody help me write a letter pleading for a sponsorship deal? (looking to get 3 lots of £350 or something) I am trying to aim for a pub nearby with food, so we can 1) drink there 2) get food there. This means there are clear benefits to us being sponsored, being that we go there and spend money.
a) I'll settle fo far less money, if we get free food, which is cheap for them to provide but costs us a fair bit to buy. Perhaps a deal that a certain amount of it is spent on a deal for food?
b) We will have membership of around 80, though only 40 odd will ever go to the pub/show up at any one time, but there is the potential for a huge amount of people to become familiar with the place in a small city with hundreds of pubs and bars, some catering almost exclusively to students.
c) unfortunately by January regular appearences will only be around 15/20, and by April possibly less than 10. (exams, etc., plus a high dropout rate and declining popularity as it is a martial art.)
Damme, this is not the position I want to be in, especially as I'm supposed to be leaving this scummy city next week!
RESISTANCE IS use-LESS!
