Default Linux Install Help - 08-09-2004

Okay I have to admit I'm getting kind of ticked off at this whole thing. I've been trying for a couple hours now to get RealBot set up correctly on my Linux Steam server and I just keep on encountering more errors - from a missing 'imgood' sound file to it constantly saying "RealBot is NOT installed into the correct directory".

Is there a walkthrough anywhere for Linux Steam? 95% of the stuff here seems to be focused at Winblows. Right now the thing that would infinitely help would be a simple listing of what files are suppose to go where. So if anyone can provide that I'd be very grateful.

well, i installed the steam hlds and then i just unzipped all the files into the hlds root folder so that the realbot folder was in the same folder as the cstrike folder. then the realbot.i386.so or whatever is placed in realbot/dll/
make sure you have a realbot/data/cstrike/ directory and the sub directories

Well that's weird.
I could have swore I passed that particular configuration by in my journey to get it working, and not have it work there. But to make sure before replying, I went back and tried it again. Sure enough I'm not getting those errors anymore and the bots are alive.

Thanks for the reply and kicking my butt back to a working point.
