Bots Cant Reload...

Hello,

This may have been said before, but I have been playing on my server all day today with 10 bots and who ever want to come in ...

Durring that time I was relising that if two bots were fighting each other, and they bolth ran out of bullets in there clip they would just keep fireing which would result in a very anyyoing click click noise and the one bot never killing the other.

So my though is that in the next release of RealBot have it check to see if it is out of bullets and stop fireing if it is untill the gun is reloaded... That would slove this problem..

Like I said, I dont know if this has been posted before, I dont have time to look though all of the posts... I am in a hurry and just wanted to let you guys now ...

i have noticed this also on my server (Pure skillz 1.6 -bot_on). I find they evnetually realize, it just takes a long time usually, i have seen occasions where they would just run with the emtpy clip at me and not reload...i find this to be a small issue though, as it great fun and practice to play realbots two thunbs up for stefan and "greg"

i run my server with 10-15 bots all on t side, humans vs bots is hilarious and ppl love it so far (i have to admit i got the idea from this server i used to play on years ago... i forget the name it was somthing taliban :/agh if someone has a hint for me lwmmw know ! anways that was great fun back in day)

i am trying to see which maps are best with realbots, if anyone can help ( i just resetup the server), tell me your favorites ;P

id love to see them reload faster too btw althugh on high skill levels tehy usually hs on few first shots :p

Spurn, this is what I do, I also have seen players come back over and over becuse they like playing the bots ...

But people allways tell me that one thing they hate is that they dont reload....


Well maybe they add it as a option ....

I've fixed this problem.


Note -- this DLL is Windows-only, beta, and ONLY has the fix for reloading/changing guns when out of ammo.

Well, the CVS now has the new code in it, perhaps you can get someone to compile a Linux build for you?

My Visual Studio is being bitchy and it won't let me set up Linux building.

Is that because of the WeaponList message ? I have changed the way of handling the WeaponList message in my non-metamod DLL and that has never happened.

Looks like CVS is no more working for me... SSL negotiation is always failing since a couple of days :'(

yes, it failed since yesterday afaik. We are working on it, i have new code to commit
