according to the realbot homepage, stefan is losing internet access for a bit. So I am anxiously awaiting the next mEAn WIP! Any word on when we can expect the new mEAn WIP, or the improvements that will be addressed in this update? I'm really looking foreward to your bot-chat and tk-punish features! I give mEAn the award for "Best bot-server admin-module!" Excelent work Botmeister, a job well done!

Another feature to think about is a command translating feature for users of other admin mods. ie: admin_help=m_help \ amx_help=m_help \ amx_map=m_loadmap \ amx_who=m_users \ etc...
you get my drift? for ease of switching admin-modules... Like dumping adminmod for mEAn, but everyone knows the admin commands and dont know anything about mEAn... of course you would have to be able to turn this on and off in case anyone was actually using these other mods with mEAn. Or maybe you plan to implement script plug-ins in a later release? this would probably be better for a seprate plug-in. maybe a feature that could be added to the final version. Ramble, ramble... Just an idea...

Some very good suggestions! What I would do for the command conversions is either allow the commands to be changed by a script, or add a cfg conversion file that loads up when the system starts. This way anyone can change the commands to whatever they want.

I promised myself I won't release anything new until I've completed a version of mEAn that runs under Linux. Once that is done, I plan on finalizing the WIP and releasing it as a final for both Linux and Windows.

After that, I think mEAn will need to be changed significantly. For example, it really should be converted to work as a metamod plugin. Also, I find it is too inflexible in some areas, for example the different weapon modes should be user configurable, also it would be nice if there was a scripting system for it so people can add their own extentions (as you've suggested).

It is sometimes difficult to find enough time to get things done, and right now I'm busy with work that I get paid to do, so obviously that sort of thing will take priority over the "for fun hobby stuff". I really connot say when I'll have the next WIP ready, or even if I won't release something before the Linux conversion is ready. About the only thing that is for certain, is that I am working towards creating a Linux version, and I'll make a "final" release shortly after that.

So i found the command m_botyell....

the console echos (mEAn) Emitting battlecry from random bot!!!
although the command seems to trigger sounds like:
monsterkill!
unstopable!
Multikill!
rampage!
do i need to disable theese sounds in amx? or is this a mEAn internal problem?

In the mEAn install folder you can edit sounds.cfg and change what the bots say.

Look for this:

!botyell
misc/killingspree.wav
misc/ultrakill.wav
misc/multikill.wav

All you have to do is change the sound files listed under the sound command "!botyell"

You can delete, replace or add files. See the header comment in sounds.cfg for more details.
