Default Bot naming problem - 13-03-2004

Stefan, thank you for your great work! Your RealBot WIP is the best bots for HL, I think.

I have small remark: when I add a bot by running command 'realbot add 1' (or 2) the code uses random name from rb_names.txt for a new bot. But sometime the code adds a bot with the same name as already in use but in starnge form. For example: [BOT]One and (1)[BOT]One. Why it's happens? It is enough names in my rb_names.txt for naming bots. I want to create a competition between bots and human but can't do this because of this bug. Can you correct this?

Thanks, and sorry for my English.

I haven't had the problem. How many names have you in your rb_names.txt?

I have 24 unique names in rb_names.txt and usually run about 8-10 bots on a server.

I too have this issue, and was wondering how that can be fixed as well, I have about 30 unique names and about 10 bots on the server.

you use your own pluging?
if yes thats probely why, it kicks bots and put them back right? it is a bit the same when you use internet mode.
it puts in double players caus it don't checks the names that are playing at that moment.

Probebly stefan is the only one who can fix it then, so Stefan if you read this any ideas?

@Serj:
nice plugin you wrote . But it depends on AMX's player informations which is broken if you use AMX and bots at the same time. After a few player connects and disconnects the numbers will get wrong. In the worst case your server fills up with bots and no human can join afterwards.

You may take a look at my plugins how I solved this problem:
