Default Metmod successfully installed, but no dice on RealBot - 17-03-2004

Metamod 1.17 is good to go on Win 1.6 listen server when I check the console. When I type in "meta list" it says 0 plugins installed.

when i type in "realbot help" it doesnt recognize the command

Here's what I've done so far:

.../cstrike/addons/metamod/dll/plugins.ini [looks like this:]

win32 ../RealBot/dll/realbot_mm.dll

realbot_mm.dll is located in ...counter-strike/RealBot/dll

any thoughts?

Is your plugins.ini here?
.......Counter-Strike\cstrike\addons\metamod\plugins.ini
not supposed to be in the metamod\dll folder

Are you using the metamod.dll from the realbot site?

If you plugins is in the right place try 3 .'s (...) instead, and see if that works.

hmm... my INI file might be in the wrong place. Three (...) dots dont work either, tried that. I'm not actually at my computer, but I will check its placement. Thanks!

Metamod and all files are DLd from the RealBot site btw...

I agree dead bwoy! I think it is the plugins.ini the problem since the other path are good. Move it there.

I'm 100% sure it's the plugin.ini in the wrong folder.
If the path to realbot would be wrong you would get an error message about "bad file" and at least one plugin listed...

No, there are never three dots in any path except if used as a placeholder...
But at a unix system three dots would make a valid folder name .
