Help a dullard

Okay, it's like this (and yes, I did look thoroughly through the various threads, and did not find my answers):

I want to be able to set up a server for CS 1.6 with bots (realbot), have friends being able to join, and to execute commands using mEAn.

My questions:

1) What version of mEAn do I need?

2) How/where do I install it? I was unable to find the textfile, and the versions I downloaded did not contain one (keep in mind, this is all for CS 1.6, Steam).

3) Will I be able to join/play using the same machine where mEAn-ed server is running on? Or is it like Admin-mod, for dedicated servers only?

That's it for now, I thought I had some more questions, but I seem to have forgotten them :/

You need the latest WIP (or BETA) version (as of this post version 5.50.13). Go to the release section in this forum to find the download link.

You have to first install the last FINAL release 5.00. Get it from the download section on the mEAn website. After installing it 5.00, overwrite the mEAn DLL with the lastest WIP version.

3) Will I be able to join/play using the same machine where mEAn-ed server is running on? Or is it like Admin-mod, for dedicated servers only?

Yes, you can run it from both a dedicated server and a listen server. There's a thread in these forums somewhere explaining how to do this.

ps: you can run adminmod from a listen server too.
