Default Linux - Tried Everything (I think) - Help Please - 15-01-2004

Hey guys,

Here is my situation:
Redhat 9.0
RB 1.0
HLDS Steam
Metamod 1.17 (from rb website)

I start hlds with:
./hlds_run +localinfo mm_gamedll dlls/realbot_i486.so -game cstrike +maxplayers 16 +map de_aztec -autoupdate

In my server.cfg:
sv_aim 0
pausable 0
hostname "EgoIndustries CS 1.6"
sv_maxspeed 320
mp_timelimit 20
sv_cheats 0
log on
exec listip.cfg
exec banned.cfg
rcon_password "asdf"
exec addons/adminmod/config/adminmod.cfg
admin_bot_protection 1

In cstrike/addons/metamod/plugins.ini:
linux addons/adminmod/dlls/admin_MM_i386.so
linux addons/hlguard/dlls/hlguard_mm_i586.so
linux addons/statsme/dlls/sm_cstrike_mm_i386.so

Here is what I have tried:
1) Removing all the metamod plugins from plugins.ini
2) Removing admin mod completely

When I try to add a bot from the server console using:
rbds addbot_1_2_5_dude
I get no output from that command and status shows no new users.

What am I missing? Thank you!

Hi,

- try the metamod from adminmod.org (the lates binary release
- have waypoints (most old .rbw do work too) in place
- make shure the realbot.so file has been copied to cstrike/dlls

try once more :-)

1) adminmod.org doesnt have a metamod download. I went to metamod.org and grabbed their 1.17 version.
2) Are there some examples or defaults for a simple default map like assault?
3) Mine is realbot_i486.so, does it matter?

I've the same problem!
But i use hlds v4.1.1.0 with Counter-Strike 1.5 on Mandrake 9.2 Kernerl: 2.4.22
I start my server with ./hlds_run -game cstrike -insecure -nomaster +sv_lan 1 +maxplayers 12 +map de_train +localinfo mm_gamedll addons/realbot/dll/realbot_i486.so

I think the bots are correctly loaded, as i get this:

I don't see how that has anything to do with my situation. It appears as if realbot isn't even getting loaded for me.

1: there is an adminmod release containing metamod, use that.
2: most default maps are included in the win packages
3: that dll is the right one, just was too lazy to

Hi,
i use rcon to controll a steam cs 1.6 server running, RealBot A.I. 1.0 Build 2047 (the old one). in rcon i use these commands to controll bots:

rcon rbds removebot_1_1 (remove one terror)
rcon rbds removebot_1_2 (remove one ct)
rcon rbds addbot_1 (add t)
rcon rbds addbot_2 (add ct)
rcon rbds addbot_2_5_9 (add dumb ct)
rcon rbds addbot_2_5_1 (add clever ct)
rcon rbds skill_5 (...)

if you use WIP realbots _look_ at the progrss thread, it describes the new commands.

have you found the metamod from Will, on adminmod.org ?
i can give you amx server-commands to controll your bots from within the amx menu

Well, using the rcon commands produced no output either. The module must not be loading.....what else could it be?

Any way to see what modules are loaded?
