LOL... Well, I wouldn't object... Although it seems like SoUlFaThEr, MarD and me are plenty for a not-so-busy part of the forum... but you know what? MarD and me have been tinkering with the thought of a website again. Just a little page that would serve as a kind of waypoint portal. Ppl would be able to see a list of waypointes for several bots, download, rate and comment them. They could sort the list by rating, by date or by waypointer. There would be a news section right on the main page, where waypointers and admins could add info like "Jan 12, 2005: WaypointManiac submitted PODBot waypoints for de_dust5 and de_aztec3 today - get them here".
That would be nice, I think... 9_9
MarD pointed me to a site where they offer a kind of customizable portal for such purposes... I got the link somewhere... oh yeah, in my mailbox. Well, I can post it or PM you if you're interested.
I suppose that if we really get such a site up & running, we could use help to keep it well-maintained, and then it would seem quite logical to me to have you as a moddie here, too. What do you think?

I wouldn't object if biohazerd be a moderator either, he qualifies too, since he's contributed making podbot waypoints a lot.

However the question is: do we need so many moderators in this forum ?

If the project T Wrecks is talking about requires another people join the mods crew, then I wouldn't object. Otherwise, well, we wouldn't want to end up with more moderators than members in this forum, no ?

If there's a need for a new moderator here post your request in the agora and take care to explain well why another one is needed.

Heyyo,

I think you'd qualify Biohazard, and for our waypointing page idea TWrecks, it would never hurt to have an extra mod to help. Cause 2 3/4 (my brain seems to be only somewhat working these days ) brains is better than our current 1 3/4 brains. At that old n' dead site fusion-games, we had like, 4 site admins (although one only posted like, 3 times n' then never showed up again, lol, so really it was 3...) for only like, 80 people. I bet our waypoint site will generate many, many hits per day so I think we'd need all the moddies we can for that. This forums more of optional moddies cause it's not that busy.

So I'd vote for ya biohazard for our site project easily, but for the forums, well, I guess I could vote for you, but we're currently a little vaccant for our current amount of moddies.

BTW, TWrecks, when we gonna get this idea off the ground? I'm bored at school, and 3 forums aren't enough to keep me entertained. (Lol, I post here, nukebox, and the official HaloPC forums called "The Maw."

As soon as you like... the thing is that I'm currently right in the middle of my diploma examination, so I'm terribly short on time. To be honest, I'm not too keen on fiddling around with web pages atm... and since biohazerd told me that he knows some HTML and stuff and already wanted to setup a waypoint d/l page on his own cost, I reckon he'd be a natural choice for such a site. However, my contribution would be limited to general ideas concerning the structure and the functionality of the site (meaning that I cannot contribute code or nifty little scripts, but I can think of some nice functions that I consider to be interesting, and I have some idea of how the site could be structured). And of course, I could post news once in a while - but mostly I would be making waypoints, I guess...

Heyyo,

He knows HTML eh? then biohazard, I'd nominate you for moddie np. I know some HTML, but very basic (like, webmonkey's html tutorials basic ). Since TWrecks and SF seem a little busy, it's obvious just 3 moddies ain't enough for the waypoint forums, especially if we want our own waypoint site that'll need to be updated daily, if not tri-hourly.

Heyyo,

Looks nice, and dude, that de_frosty looks incredible for a map on the HL engine, I'm getting both.

Bio, start up a poll, cause I'm sure you'd make it for moddie if you told them it was for extra help with our new waypoint page project.

Ok, well biohazard, we can either code the site manually in HTML (or DHTML if you want to as well), or we can use this webportal thing I used to use back at fusion-games, the link's www.e107.org very nice, easy to upload files, and you can make your own layouts easy. and it's easy to setup uploading for public, and there's commenting, and a built in rating system. If we did do this in HTML, I'm sure I'd figure out the structure n' just copy n' paste it each time we add a new download n' such.

So dude, let's us waypointing moddies decide, manual HTML, or e107.org webportal?

I vote webportal, you guys?
