Default Realbot Wip10 not joebot compatible - 13-06-2004

hi all

I have a working cstrike 1.5 server with 3 different bots (real wip9, joe 1.5, pod 2.6mm) running at the same time.

After i updated Realbot to wip10, cs crashes, when the first joebot joins the game.

Does anyone have the same problem with the wip 10?

I don't try with multiple bots, but i'll check the code again for any 'fake client' checks that should not be...

Are there any details about this crash you can give us? Maybe it's a crash caused by RealBot alone, not the combo, that we've fixed already in a newer WIP10?

PS- Stefan, we should probably rename the source to something OTHER than "WIP10"... Either "WIP11", "CVS", or "Source". Too many versions of WIP10 exist.

3044, 3045, and 30xx (my custom builds that I've made for people all have 30xx)

the only possible mess-up i can think of is that any code that relies on "fakeclient" can crash. This means that RB tries to execute code when a fakeclient is not a RealBot. To fix this you should either ADD the line:

UTIL_GetBotPointer(edict) != NULL

so you know this bot is also a RealBot (in the array).

About WIP, i dunno, perhaps its wise to release WIP #11 very soon.

I've now captured the output from the server, when hlds died.

/home/t3vion/hlds_l/hlds_run: line 83: 7976 Speicherzugriffsfehler (<--stands for memory access error) $HL $*
Add "-debug" to the ../hlds_l/hlds_run command line to generate a debug.log to help with solving this problem
Die Jun 15 18:16:26 CEST 2004: Server Died

My realbot version is 3044 with the addon source of evy to get it correctly compiled on my machine.
