Default problem with bots - 06-03-2004

Hello.
I am running a dedicated CS server. ver. 1.6 and 1.5
i have set up realbot on both servers, and everything seems to be just fine.
Until the bots start accidentally killing each-other.
I use amx on a red hat, pentium 4 server.
No matter what version i choose to play, (1.5 or 1.6) when one bot kills another one, a REAL human player gets kicked and banned because of "teamkilling" even if he is on the opposite team.
that was number one; number two : three or four days started since i first played with bots. in the beginning they were really awesome. but after 2 days, they started walking backwards or just sitting in the spawn location, and this happened on maps that were already "learned" ehhh could someone out here help out ???
and thans for the time :}

Well, there is a bug in the AMX player initialization code when there are bots at the server. After a few player connects/disconnects AMX doesn't update it's internal tables therefore it mix up players. That's also the reason why the wrong player get's punished...
I suggest you disable the AMX tkpunish and use either mp_tkpunish or the ATAC plugin. The later is also influenced by the AMX bug but requires the players to choose a punishement. But after some teamkills (default 5) they are kicked anyway

I have disabled AMX plugin: miscstats.amx
I was getting a runtime error for that plugin and this also seemed to fix the wrong-name-stats problem i was having.
AMX still doesn't seem to recognize all human players: map-change seems to fix temporarily; until someone new connects...

You'll probably have to wait a very long time. Olo seams to have abbandoned AMX, the last update is back from may or june 2003...
Another team has started a new development project based on Olo's sources (amxmod X @ sourceforge.net) but there hasn't been any progress so far - and they didn't respond to my error report at all .

AMXx is good, works fine at the moment, cant wait for 0.2 becasue then new features will start to get enabled

0.1 has alot of new features, but its mainly a codebase
