yes the old HL DOES support bots, just take at look at the botman's HL bot number 8

just install the original POD-Bot 2.5 to the CS beta5's HL main folder and copy my version of podbot.dll file in that archive to the cstrike\podbot folder and it should be okay... also don't copy all the files to the main HL folder; that just won't work. you only need the podbot.dll file in that archive
