They have been able to intelligently fight with knives since the Sept 30 release. What I was talking about last week was that they can now get pissed, and knife or shoot your body after they kill you (you know - when your wounded and waiting for a medic, they will now knife/shoot you until they pop you into Limbo, and sometimes they'll cheer about it, evile bastards!

If Fritz gets a backstab on you (and he does see and understand that), he WILL knife you now already. It doesn't happen often - but then: how often do YOU really fight someone with a knife, its only if you get the drop on them, or your in really close quarter combat and out of ammo. They make the choice to backstab intelligently - only if they're close enough to use it, and only if they don't have something more powerful to kill you with.
