This also depends on the server and it's community. We had always many custom maps at our server and our regulars loved them (till our tragic CS1.6 delay). They often demanded new custom maps but it was hard to find good maps...
Most of our pervious regulars are now playing at another custom map server but they still love to play good custom maps
