I just saw at the top of this thread that you're using CS1.6 which also means steam. I never got version 1.6.3 working with metamod in this setup. Have you tried the recompiled version posted elsewhere on this forum? http://forums.bots-united.com/showthread.php?t=460

You can also try to compile the latest source from sourceforge. I have a setup that's identical to yours and everything works fine with the latest compiled joebot source.
