for windows make a new file in your
C:\hlds\dod\addons\metamod

(easy way to do this is to copy your existing plugins.ini file, rename it, then edit it)

call it config.ini


in that file put this one line

gamedll dlls\shrikebot.dll

for Linux

gamedll dlls/shrikebot_i386.so

that should do it.
