I've continued to try to push for SDK updates with valve since the many moons ago that we discovered the crippled server plugin sdk for bots. Mostly the emails have been ignored or otherwise unanswered, or in rare cases answered with no real sign of any of the changes being made. If you follow the HL2 coders mailing list you probably noticed there is a new guy at valve whose primary responsibility is to work with mods and the SDK. I emailed a reminder about the bot stuff and he responded saying that he had gotten some of my emails forwarded to him by Alfred, and that the missing bot pieces are definately on his todo list. I hope this means there is some light on the horizon for fully functional server plugin bots. How soon I'm not quite sure, but hopwfully it won't be too much longer now.
