62°C is in the high end, but still nothing serious. AMD processors have a die temperature at around 95 degrees.

The amount of emitted noise have very little to do with how good it is a cooling your cpu.

Btw. I have had my Athlon XP at 89°C! I had mounted the cooler a little wrong when building my comp, so when I checked the temp in bois just 20 secs after booting, it was that high! Damn it went fast to cut the power

I have never had any troubles with it since though. It's a 3200 running around ~45 degrees under load. Thats with good chassis cooling, cooling paste and a good cooler.
