: IAM SO HAPPY ^_^ i uninstalled steam, deleted my valve folder, uninstalled halflife, then reinstalled hl, downloaded the patch, then dloaded cs 1.5, then installed steam and let it update and then ran the zip file my mate gave me and now it WORKS!!!

. the only thing different this time was i didnt install halflife and steam only and let it update. this time i installed each thing. thanks all for ur help. and mainly to Kwo thanks people
