Alternatively, I'm kindof anticipating being ignored by valve, so I've started working on a custom interface that should be as easy as dropping in 2-3 files to a mod and compiling, and then all the information bots need would be exposed(read only) to plugins. It's not ideal to having it built in to begin with but given the easy nature of letting mods drop in the files, compile, and not have to worry about it anymore, I don't think most mods would have a problem with doing so if it meant they could potentially get fully featured free bot support by third party developers.

As it is now, even if they were to release an updated SDK with these changes, it would be up to the mods themselves to merge such changes, so I don't see alot of differences, except in the case of Valve mods like CS:S, DOD, where it would require valve to compile the interface into them as well, which would be quite trivial. Maybe they would, I don't know. I'll try to find out though.
