Cheating died out for a while because people were getting caught.. on a massive scale, valve found a way to crack down on the general DLL hooking methods used when steam was released, but since then, people have been working on hacking it again, and it seems the hacking community has been off again.. They are appearing on CS:Source now as well.. There will never be a perfect way to stop them, you just need to keep your server admining tight. and be careful not to grab people using common sence (I've been banned so many times from servers for that
