I think there may be, and there's a command setting for HL that increases the space. You can allso call other config files from server.cfg
exec yourconfig.cfg
How many maps do you have in the map cycle? If the message text is too long it will overflow the player. Let me know how many maps you have, then I'll have a look at it.
