mkdir() on windows does not correspond to mkdir() on Linux.
Use something like that:

#define POSIX_mkdir(a,b) _mkdir(a)
#else
#define POSIX_mkdir(a,b) mkdir(a,b)
#endif

and call POSIX_mkdir instead.
