You can run it.
I ran the beta of HLČ (typo, I swear
) on my Duron 1.3 w/ 256 MB of PC133 and a GeForce4 MX440-SE
I now play CS:S on the following:
- AMD Athlon XP 2500+ (oc'd to 3200+)
- 384 MB of DDR 2800
- GeForce 4 MX440-SE (oc'd to FX 5200, DX7 limitation)
- Random nuts and bolts (nForce2, etc )
I have 0 lag, especially in firefights... Smoke was recoded to not lag either. I like CS:S, an improvement over 1.6, although 1.5 has a more "CS" feel than either of the others.
My VST results (1024x768 MAX Quality) were about 82 FPS.
