In CS 1.6 you need to be "spawned" into the HL server (i.e, not browsing any selection menu) for the waypoint message to display. This message was formerly a fading blue message that lasted 3-4 seconds and was displayed at each round start, but people complained that it was too visible and annoying, that's why I put it back like the way it used to be with POD-bot 2.5. Is it really that annoying ? When the visibility table is built and once it's saved to disk, you will see your beautiful name in the center of the screen, SF, I promise, don't panic.
