So in the end, I removed directory addons and everything in that tree. Downloaded the all in one package. unziped and copied into the CS directory..... and ............

When your bots join, do they come right in? Or do they spectate until next round?

its a steam server. and I can connect and run and shoot as a player. no issues. when i press tab I can see all the bots sitting in the spectator.
tried map change... nothing, tried restart round...

Reinstalled in a different directory.

I saw that also, did some research on that error but nobody out there in the world thought that it was a problem.
