It's an EKG machine, right? I am talking about the probes that attach to your skin.

Bug in forum

I've noticed when you delete a post, it is still considered a new post, which I can't view. I mean, on the main forum, off topic forums are listed as new posts, when I've read them all.

[EDIT]

Re: bots in real life

BTW, there are standards for how much current your sensor can draw. I don't know it exactly, but MOSFET buffers might be a good idea.

Well, it was a pump controller, but this one might be for something else.

Re: bots in real life

Did you know you can make PC boards with photo paper and a laser printer? Well, I mean you will still need etchant and the copper clad. You can make the etchant work better with a fish tank heater....

Re: Mac or PC?

I see no reason to use a Mac. You can get all of that stuff on a PC and use it for more. The hardware would cost less, too.

As for that ad with the 'digital camera', that is like the exact...

Re: Medic??

I don't think they have a case. It would be best for them to not take this to court, as they could lose the symbol. The thing is used so much that how could they still claim ownership?

If he...

Re: bots in real life

Oh, I thought they were some kind of logic device. Well, I guess digital IC still applies then, and some analog ones, also.

If you use two power supplies, you can reduce the need for those.

Re: bots in real life

Did you remember to put 0.1uF capacitors near the digital ICs from their power to their ground?

Re: Where can I find ....

You could put a secondary network hook in the SDK so that you can send the information over your own protocol and your own ports to another machine. QuakeWorld code would help if you do this. This...

Re: HL1 source code

The thing about Quake 1 is that it did not have a client or server DLL. It had a scripting language for mods. I don't see that being hard to change, though, because, IIRC, there are files sorted for...

Re: HL1 source code

100% no... lol

If you want an engine like HL, just take Quake, give it individual palettes for each texture, make a C++ mod interface, and make the map limits as high as they can go. That, 24-bit...

Re: bots in real life

Isn't that thing overkill for controlling a water pump?

Hey, I was thinking. What if you tried to fix the fried component(s) on the old controller and kept this one for yourself?

Is it possible to hook when it plays the headshot sound file? That could work most of the time.

Re: Attempting to create float free engine

My precision ony can go to 1/32768, unfortunately.

Let me try to elaborate, only using 8 bits:

sign bit, 4, 2, 1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/8, 1/16
00011000

I am doing this with 32 bits, though. One...

Re: Attempting to create float free engine

The main reason I want to do this is due to PDAs not having float support. It is kind of a proof of concept thing. Unfortunately, I don't know if they have hardware divide either, so that could hurt.

Attempting to create float free engine

Yes, I know it is difficult. I have created a float-implementation independant way of converting floats to 16:16 integers. It is not endian independant, though. Of course it doesn't matter that much,...

Re: Demo Structure

There should be something in the SDK about this. If there isn't, you are going to have to use Quake's source and hack the new stuff. It is probably extra joints and render properties mainly.

Re: GUI-based debugger for MS platform?

You can use Bloodshed Dev-C++. It's a free IDE for Windows that uses GCC.
