Re: Steam Update Is Here!

yea mine keeps stopping @ 99% then dropping back down to 30%!
It's done this about 5 times now!!!:( :'( >:(
hldsupdatetool keeps hanging........
==================================================
Well... my client update is done!
after a re-launch and some more updates...
taking the hl2 survey...
hung up for a good 10-15 min now so i gave up and had to ctrl+alt+1337 that b!@tch!!!
relaunched steam and bypassed the survey...
golden...
==================================================
no noticible changes except the exit and logout option from the steam icon in the systray... what a hassle... how do i buy games? oh well, seems pointless now...
==================================================
WOW!!! my hlds is finally up to date after numerous hang-ups! And by the way, the "exit" option allows you to play offline... first time I exited out using "exit" It said I had exited and logged out... um, no! then I logged in and used "exit" again. When I tried to reconnect, "Could not connect to steam network... ??? continue in offline mode" <click>
Game unavailable to play in offline mode... CRAP! oh well!

Re: Steam Update Is Here!

did you reset your password?
I got no such e-mail and my previous password worked fine!
I did get a syntax error: the command still works although the syntax has changed!

yes the syntax has changed, but i had to modefy it before it worked, if you run the hlds updatetool in a "dos" window (window start ->run (not sure) -> cmd) you will get a list with new commands if you follow that you will get an e-mail and you won't get the syntax error anymore.
