Don't hesitate to post funny stuff in the "parliament" section: offtopic, fps gamers, etc... whenever you find some
that's what makes users enjoy a forum. That's how we drain regulars and build a real community.

and i can tell you the mail server is hardly keeping up, i think the ugly sendmail will be on its limmits at around 10 000 mails per day. we should consider switching that auto thread notification to of. me alone gets 40-100 mails per day from the bu server.

its not the sendmail from what i can see from here.
Its more the spam / virus scanning that can hardly keep up. more that 70 % (by my calc) of mail the server receives is either virus or spam ... baah thats bad !

Only 10000 mails/day? That's not much even for sendmail...

That's what happen during one of my last vacations (2 weeks, mails in trash are automatically deleted after seven days):

this is no mail hub, so sendmail is quite limmited in how many resources it can use. qmail is much better, it can acctually handel 2mio/day on some crapy P2/266.
i did not look too dely into the Mailscanner, buts a perl one so that will realy be the point of weakness/slowness.

Me, too, originally. :) But I think that what I have now is even better than POXBot - and what could be better than being in direct contact with the bot coders?
I love this forum: good stuff, no unnecessary gimmicks, and the forum members all seem to be civilised people who know to behave themselves, not just some egocentric, stupid kiddies - that's really nice for a change... 9_9
