HPB Bot template 4.0 crash

So I'm a total noob in bot programming but I thought I'd give it a try. I downloaded the HPB bot template 4.0 for MinGW & Dev-C++ and compiled it. I then tried to play hldm with it but the game crashes when I try to make a server. Shouldn't it work without any modifications to the hpb bot source code?

IIRC that package only works with one specific version of MinGW (forgot which version it exactly is but it _might_ be "MinGW-3.1.0-1.exe", and the one included with Dev-C++ won't work)...

there is fix for that issue in metamod-p, but it isn't applied in that package I think.
