Bots for Counter-Strike Beta 6.1
 

Hello,
Does anyone know of bots that I can install on a half-life 3016 linux server.

I am running a Counter-Strike Beta 6.1 server and would like to install some bots.

I am in the process of starting a Counter-Strike Beta community and have all of the necessary files hosted at ** LINK REMOVED **

You guys are doing something different than the mainstream, and I appreciate your support.

I don't know for bots that are compatable with such an old version of CS, maybe you can Google a bit to find out some legasy bots. :)

this is tested in CS beta 5.2, which should also work with beta 6.1. there are some bugs but it's generally playable.

you need to install POD-bot 2.5 first, and replace the podbot.dll with the one included with the above archive.
it's windows-only anyway.

I am trying to create some buzz about counter-strike beta 6.1 here in the united states... it is very difficult because everyone plays v1.6 and source on steam.

I downloaded the files that Whistler recommended and found source code included as well. I am wondering if it is possible to make the bots run on a linux server if I compile the source and run it with POD Bot 2.5 for linux??

I am trying to see if there is some way to run POD Bot 2.5 on a dedicated linux server for Counter-Strike Beta 6.1

It might be possible, but I would like to know what you think.

Sure it is possible, if you are lucky one compiling will be just fine, if not you might need to change some stuff, generally with the function exporting, and maybe some other little changes. :)

Thanks. I will try to do that and I will let you know how it turns out.
Of course, it would be nice to have enough people playing Counter-Strike Beta 6.1 that bots wouldn't be necessary, although, I think the bots will encourage people who install the betas for the first time and who might otherwise get bored easily.
If you want to play, let me know... there is a server in Belgium which is not terribly far away from you.

The first version of CS that I have played is 1.0 retail, so I would like to see what CS was in the very begining. Let me now from where I can get Beta 1.6 and the IP of the server. Perhaps the weekend I will try it out. :)
