here is the waypoints I created for hamsters.bsp. My first attempt at wping.

The T bots will move from spawn and seek out the bomb site, mainly they take only one path:P

CT rarely move from spawn and mostly camp. They get stuck on ladder going up to the bomb room.

I have also included the map!

All suggestions on waypointing are greatly appreciated from a noob like me!

Why are there so many crouch points? You only need one crouch and that is under the object/ladder. Because, if bots are heading for a crouch point they will crouch on the way to it.

Move team specific waypoints closer to the goal(s), because what I saw was a bot would head to the team specific waypoint and then turn around. So increase the distance between spawn and team specific waypoints so there are more options for the bots to choose from.

Bots may have trouble navigating around corners like that. If you can't navigate well just by following the yellow lines then the bots will have trouble too. So try and making waypoints box-like to increase the abilty to navigate better: for bots.

Can probably have a camp spot there.

Again, trouble with navigating may occur.

Again, navigation may be a problem with corners, plus move the team specific waypoint further away from the spawn area.

Again, to many crouch points also it may explain why terrorists only go one direction from the spawn area.

I think I used a little to quick or appeared a bit strong.
Your waypoints are great for a first-timer.

If you fix a few problems and complete the map, upload them again and I'll submit them into the CFEGames waypoint database.

These waypoints are impressive, even better than when I started.
I had to have alot of help from KWo, thanks to him, I can waypoint maps quickly and pump them out.

If you need further help, upload the new waypoints and I'll check them again.

k, think I fixed it. I look at many of the corners I made and squared them. Added camp points for the CT along the goal rout. Placed only one crouch under the ladder. I also moved the team specific wps from the spawns of the team. The CT will now, sometimes =P, move away from spawn and the T take the upper rout now, but move often then the lower.They still get stuck on the "bomb" ladder=P

Origanaly I had wp the "upstaris" part but scraped it after playing a few rounds and seeing the none of the bots used it.

I made a demo, just keep an eye on what I look at and especially what I do.
Many things I did were not put into waypoint form and I was noticing alot of your one way paths that will restrict bots from going down certain directions and pathways.

I would recomend not having any one way paths unless a bot cannot jump up to it like you did witht he team specific drops.

I took many screenshots, but I will make a page at cfegames.com so they will appear as mini-thumbnails.

I watched the demo last night. I think I got what you were pointing out. I changed some things. Took out many of the one ways that was put in, for some reason i forget, and wped the "upstairs" the CT are very good at going up there. It now makes the map harder for the T.

I must tell you, both sides must have the same thing, if one side has more advantage over the other, then the win opportunities are not equal.

Don't leave anything out from either team, if one has it, the other must as well.
