What's going on?
 

Hi people,

I've been out of the loop for quite some time concerning HL1/2-related development.
I was slightly shocked by some answer turnover times I've seen in some threads.
Is this forum still active? Is HL-related development still ongoing? Are the old, great guys (PMB, StefanHendriks, @$3.1415rin, Cheesy, ...) still here?

Well I am here. But i have been away for quite some time. The HL2 SDK practically killed Bot development IMO.

Even though there is Source Mod now (source code available!) so we could pick up and create an unofficial bot. I think that other factors also come into play:
- real life
- study
- growing up for some? ;-)


Actually I have found it more enjoyable to write my own little game that will make CS2D look bad when it is finished.. ;-)

Actually the growing is not factor that can kill your hobby. :)

I think it is inherently with having less spare time, which equals less activity on BU :)

Yes, what's going on? Whenever I see a pointless argument resulting in personal attacks and calling out on a bb, I think back to the good old days at the nukebox and tell everyone to shut up.:detective:

Cool detective btw, but he looks like a cowboy aiming a gun, which was my intention.

Actually more people from BU live, but they don't post as much as we want them to ;-)

hmm. Then we have to give them a reason. Erm, what could that be? ;-)

Perhaps some sort of magic HL2 bot that somehow works?

Any other suggestions? ;)
