BotLimit by rented server
 

I rented a server from 4netplayers the ting is they only allow me to set up 5 bots . everything is ok but when i set max bot to 5 the bots will leave the server as somebody joins . I want them to stay and only leave when the server is full of humans .Now if i set min bot to 5 then they allways stay .
So does anybody know how i can fix my problem ??
I hope somebody can help me a befor i forget i use podbot beta V3 Build 19d
I am new at server administration so play easy on me and sorry for my noobish english

also something is crazy if i make
pb add 100
pb add 100
pb add 100
pb add 100
pb add 100

it only add s 4 bots ?normal?
maybe becouse of teambalance in server settings?
if i add six lines of pd add 100 he puts 5 bots in ?

As many lines You have as pb add, that amount of bots should be added there unless the amount of humans + bots doesn't reach the pb_maxbots value (yes - read the docs - the description for this settings says that clearly - humans + bots). The pb_maxbots is only for limiting all possible bots they can be added for example by pb add or pb fillserver commands. But if You want to have 5 bots to be there - just pb add should be 5 times there but pb_maxbots You can put higher - for example 10. So if You have at the beginning 5 bots there - You still can add some bots manually.

so what u sayin is if i put max bot to 10 and on bottom i put

pb add 100
pb add 100
pb add 100
pb add 100

its just adding 5 bots to it automaticly and then while i am in the game i can add more bots , up to what the max bot value is ?! am i getting this right?

Ok Thank u Sir i think i have understand that now i will try it out and see if it works for me but i think i understand now how it works the only thing is why did i have to add pb add 100 6 times to get 5 bots playin if i put pb add 100 5 times there will be only 4 bots playin?

When I have 5 lines with pb add command - 5 bots is added (but my pb_maxbots is 16).

it seems 2 work now the way i want it to .
I thank u for ur explainings a lot, in the PodBot docs i didnt realy understand what they where trying to tell me about the specific part but u made it clear.
Much respect for ur wholework in forums like this and and the ones u have in AlleidModders the realy helped me a lot and i the fact that ur all doing this help 4 free in ur freetime man what can i say u dudes are awesome i thank u so much u guys rock :punk:
