Waypointing
first of all, i can't seem to install this podbot mm into my cs1.6 for my listen server, because for some reason, it won't work with metamod. in order to get this bot to work, metamod must be installed, why must we install metamod in order to get this bot to work? is there anyway i could access the waypoint menu through my listen server?

Re: Waypointing
Install the AIO (AllInOne) zip and enjoy the waypoint editor.
MM = Metamod so if you want Podbot MM you are required to use MetaMod. I don't see why you would have a problem with metamod. The AIO installs everything for you, you don't even need to mess with configs. |
Re: Waypointing
ok, i just dl'd AIO and same thing happened, the game just crashed as soon as I start the game. How did you manage to install Metamod into your Listen Server?
|
Re: Waypointing
Metamod comes within the AIO, just put the metamod folder in cstrike/addons/
The only things that really need to be overwritten is the liblist.gam. The liblist.gam opens the metamod.dll and then metamod will open the cstrike dlls, and anything in the plugins.ini. (Which includes AMX and PBMM). Liblist.gam should say: gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll" |
Re: Waypointing
That's exactly what I did, I downloaded metamod, put it inside cstrike/addons/metamod/dlls/metamod.dll
Edited the plugins.ini in the cstrike/addons/metamod/plugins.ini to: win32 addons/podbot/podbot_mm.dll Replaced the liblist.gam with my original, which says gamedll "addons\metamod\dlls\metamod.dll" Started CS (Listen Server), game crashed without any error, just crashed to my desktop. I tried both, installed it manually, and installed with All In One, both didn't work, get the same problem. I'm thinking that metamod does not work of listen server, works well with dedicated server though, is there any other way around this? |
Re: Waypointing
Make sure You have installed everything from scratch - rename the old addons folder You had to addons_old. Then unzip All-In-One into main cstrike folder. And start with this - without changing anything.
CS version? If You are using CS1.6 non-steam version - that is not supported all. If it's CS1.5, You just need to disable CSDM included in AIO (go to addons\amxmodx\configs\plugins-csdm.ini into disabled-csdm.ini). Try also - if that will not help - with podbot mm only - disable amxmodx in addons\metamod\plugins.ini. |
Re: Waypointing
Alright, I have re-installed everything from scratch, as in I deleted my previous "addons" folder, then unzip the one from AIO to my main cstrike directory.
Then I replaced my liblist.gam with the liblist.gam from the AIO zip. Still doesn't work, and whether I disable amxmodx from metamod plugins.ini, the result I get is still the same. As for my CS Version, I am using CS1.6 Steam Version. This is what I think, metamod only works with dedicated servers as they don't work with listen servers. Maybe the two of you are confused with that and thinking I'm trying to install this onto my dedicated server, but I'm not, if I was doing this for my dedicated server, I would have no problem. The fact that metamod doesn't work with listen server and that I am trying to install this to my listen server, the problem remains. |
Re: Waypointing
I play with pbmm on listen servers all the time.
I have no errors when I extract AIO into cstrike folder. The only thing I really had to do was edit the podbot.cfg to my perferred settings. This might be a stupid suggestion, but maybe you are letting .so files try to run.... ? |

My plugins.ini from metamod folder:
Code:
win32 addons/amxmodx/dlls/amxmodx_mm.dll |
Re: Waypointing
try deleting liblist.gam, starting the game for once and then change the liblist.gam back to metamod.dll.
