HPB_bot on tfc?
 

can someone give me a tutorial to install HPB_Bot on tfc with or without metamod?because everytime i try tfc crashes btw i'm using steam

try starting TFC for at least once before installing the bot.

i did install metamod and i did start TFC can someone just give me a tutorial or something?

did you make sure to run the hpb_bot v4.0 installer so that it extracts the files/folders in the "team fortress classic" folder? if so then all you do is go into it then the TFC folder in there and then after that run the msdos installer and it should do the work for you...

P.S. why use HPB_bot for TFC when you can just goto my downloads on my site and download the latest version of FoxBot(best TFC bot ever) and well oyea I forgot my download version of that bot includes custom maps that have foxbot waypoints...and the waypoints are included in the download too...so yea...I have added lots of maps and stuff...I have sorta been lazy and kept back from searching and adding other maps...and well I also found out that if you use the bots on a sniper only level then switch to a normal type of level or sumthing the bots will only from then on play as snipers...so yea...if you want bots to be snipers only go with that...but other than that...my download of the bots is badass...

I added 2 diff types of downloads for them...a listen server type of file...or a dedicated server type...the listen server type I managed to get it so that you can install to a temp folder and it will run a msdos file that will search for where you have TFC installed and extract the bots for you...

Hey Guys,

Sorry to kick a dead horse.. but I too am having an issue getting
Foxbot and HPB going on my TFC. Running the latest version of Foxbot,
but it doesnt detect it in console. The file location is correct and the
FAQ/readme mentions correcting the liblist.gam file, if the .exe doesnt
do it itself. (Ive never had to do that with a CS podbot)

I modify it to run \Foxbot\FoxBot.lib" and steam just overwrites it
when I start up a game. Nothing detected in console. Maybe I just
got a screwy download with clouded instructions.. but, it seems dam
good to me.

I shouldn't have to tamper with much here, right?
