Venice

In Vencie, it appears that both teams have an airstrike suggestion on the bridge right where the tank stops. This is a very lucrative spot to strike, as both teams are constantly crossing the bridge, and the kills rack up quickly.

However, if Venice isn't the first map in a campaign, and the field ops have leveled to the point that they get double airstrikes, then the bridge basically never stops exploding. This is great for the axis, but murder for the allies.

I think the allies would stand a better chance if their own field ops focused on airstriking the right half of the courtyard beyond, where the axis come from. It's also fairly densely populated, and would hit fewer of their own team.

Re: Venice

I didn't use any airstrike hints on venice.

The problem is the allies are ignoring the axis when they're going for the relic.

I've actually fixed this by using roams instead of the steal action, but the updated waypoint I have is over the limit of 16 action tests and you'll need to update your fritz install with the beta patch mal sent out.

Let me know if you want me to post it for ya.

I thought the beta patch was recalled because it introduced more problems than it solved.

Maybe I'm thinking of my new microwave...

If the beta won't break things, I'd love to see your waypoint.

Re: Venice

they weren't problems, they were 'features' that the bot wasn't ready to handle yet. that patch has been removed from the list

this patch here is good:

Thats what you get when nobody told the bots about the meeting.

Yeah the first 2 betas in January were fine and you would want them for Baserace, Goldendunk, Eagles (eventually) and some others I expect. I was wondering, rather than wait for Mal we could make a directory for the "special' waypoints here. And then another excellent waypoint table of Nova2001's on a wiki page of its own.
