what is a visablity table
 

every time i start a map that i haven't played with podbot it says Visibility Table out of Date. Rebuilding. what is this.

the "visibility table" is a table which stores if a player from one waypoint can see another waypoint.

well how come even if i have the latest podbot it still needs to be rebuilt?

The visibility table is saved when the new map is about to start. So - if You are playing few rounds and You didn't change the map, but You shut-down the server - it may happen it won't be saved. It's not a bug - it works so since the beginning of podbot. I can try to change this to let it be saved just after the table is calculated, but for some of the next releases. I don't like it, too. :)

Thanks. I know it wasn't a bug i just didn't know what it was or did and now I do.

what is the correct way to shut down a server because i've noticed that sometimes when i close the server the stats for that session (since server was running) arent saved...

What do You mean by "stats"? Those from AMX / AMX X? Wrong forum then...
