EPB Status update!

Heyyo,

LN's been busy, so here's the current status of the bot:

The bot is currently in a stadium where the annoying bugs (like
crouching/ladder climbing/doors) are fixed, but the features I planned
are not all added (customizable personalities still not implemented, in
fact I don't have a clue how to do that smartly) The Config Program is
far from being completed (where you can change the settings of the cfg
and also exchange the language files comfortably)

So he's workin' hard, havin' some probs, but no worries people, it's still bein' updated. And yes, the fruit of his labour will be sweet when finished. 8)

Hmm, I diddn't ask him about that yet.. I'll check with him.

But right now, I'm guessing no, cause he's gots a helluva lot of stuff he still needs taken care of for the next bot release.

I heard that Nicebot, a russian bot from the PODbot source code, is v1.6 compatible. You should try it, and tell the rest of the forums if it's any good... I have it downloaded, but I havn't tried it yet. :P

You can also probably get Zbot, the official CS bot, if you just search on google or something...

IvPbot also works for v1.6 so does akimbot and realbot (Argh, but I dislike realbot, it's more of a fakebot. lol... sorry, but... jeese, it seems horrible at times for me when it stands still and does nothing....)

I'm putting these other bots hea incase ya don't know already, but you probably do. I just wanted to check.

Ok, I asked him, here's his response:

So yeah, maybe next month EPB could support v1.6 :) (remember now, I said maybe, but I think what's more important that supportin' v1.6 is that the special little traits he want to put in EPB should be implemented first, cause they sound cool :) )
