whats optimal feedback info?
what info is required when reporting things seen on maps?
what info is NOT required? a list would be good so i have something to work with as i'm creating a map testing team this may be obvious to you guys who create this tech stuff but to many others like me it's not :blushing: eg. if i see a bot get stuck is it important to get a name or is class good enough? |
Re: whats optimal feedback info?
If it is something serious refer to the bug report form (link at top of first troubleshooting section of the wiki, or see forms section on my site). The actual bot name is not needed if you know the class or can condump the problem messages (if any). Screenshots are welcome where useful.
If it is commentary, I would suggest the following classifications: (1) Balance: are the bot teams reasonably balanced in your opinion, why or why not? (2) Bot Classes: do all classes (soldier through covert op for ET) perform their tasks adequately? if not which class which actions and where? (3) Human exploits; do you know of an exploit that gives a Human player an unfair advantage? Are there parts of the map that bots should be using but are not? (4) Enjoyable: Is the map worth playing in your opinion? if not what made it so? are the bots too hard or too easy? Do they pick you off at a distance too much? How many bots are too much especially Field Ops? (5) Gametype: If played in a campaign should it be first middle or last (effect of bot XP)? ... |
