need help, PB crashes server on load
 

server works fine, installed amx mod X (with meta) it works fine, installed podbot, it loads fine... runs riaght up until it says "creating bot" and tryes to add a bot to the server.... then i get an error in windows that "HLDS launcher has encounterd a problem and needs to close" ...... jsut that blanket all error windows gives when its closing a problem, asks if i want to send error report or not... you know the one im talking about....


of course my server closes after this...

any suggestions, ive gone over instalation 100 times and looked up as much as i can,

i had it running last year but cant seemt o get it to work this year

CS 1.6 lan only(server is runnign a cs dedicated for internal lan at a uni.)
runnign in console, using a bat file to auto-launch server with windows

Write in the serrver console (before You start adding bots):
meta list
and copy and paste here the contents of it.
What is the version of bots You were trying to use (please write the numeric version, don't tell me "the latest one")? Metamod version? AMX X version?

i cant copy/paste but essentialy what its saying is

i cut out the other info if you need the rest let me know, it just says their all running... for PB unde load it says chlvl, i think thats because raight now im on a level without waypoints.... podbot is running but it cant add a bot because no waypoints, i switched toa level it can do (one that jsut came with the game) ive got the settings so it doesnt auto ad a bot... i then told it to add a bot,

the server console then gives a date/time stamp [admin.amxx] login: "[POD]Alloc.....etc.... became an admin, account 127.0.0.1...etc



then thje server crashes, looks like the bots being added then becomign an admin (due to user settings in amx mod... could that be causign the problem?


edit: meta version is 1.19.0.0 (according to the 'file version' in the dll properties)

Yeah - it's not normal the bot stays an admin...

Go to Your amxmodx/configs/users.ini file and show me the contents of it. If You have some passwords there - for Your safety - change them when You will post it here (to prevent someone can use Your password if You show it here).

i am not using SQL database,


i have removed all user permissio from the user.ini file, i wasent able to recreat the bot gaining admin, it did it just that once i guess.... it just crashes after console says "creating bot" it doesnt say any of the admin stuff anymore


their was a

edit, i reinstalled EVERYTHING same problems, i changed the podbot config setting sso it wont add bots on its own ever, the game runs fine with podbot running aslong as i dont try to add a bot... added a bot from inside the server (playing, used rcon to add the bot instead of the console) the entire game froze, the screen went all f*%#ed up, i could move the mouse and my music and stuff was playing, but i couldent escape the game (ctrl alt del dident work nither did jsut minimizing the game aor alt f4'ng it) so i was stuck there with a completly messed up screen (i dont know how to explaine what the screen looked like.... kinda like when old school nintendo's used to freeze and their displays would glitch)... i had to restart the computer after waiting 20 mins and loose all my work :( .... ohh well

How did You install podbot mm? Did You use the fullpack with all needed configs,chats and waypoints or You just downloaded some binaries?

Try to disable for test AMX MOD X in addons\metamod\plugins.ini file by adding the semicolon at the beginning of the line calling amxmodx_mm.dll. Then create a game and try to add a bot. I want to know if it keep crashing/freezing also without AMX X. If this test will pass for You OK - then You can grab the All-In-One from the filebase. Then rename Your addons directory to addons_old and unzip everything from All-In-One zip file into Your ...\cstrike folder and without changing any settings in any config file try to start the game with default settings All-In-One comes with (and try also add a bot). Then let me know what's happened.

ahh i thought i replyed to this but i gues sit dident go thru


disabled amx mod x, same result, reinstalled from the all in one installer without changing ANYTHING, same result.... installed on my other copy of cs taht i use to play then started a server.... same result


if it matters were using some version of cs 1.6 lan only, does not require steam,


edit: i installed a bot called zbot, it seems to work really well.. but i cant use my other mod's with it so id really like to get pod bot working

No-steam CS1.6 is not supported here, sorry. Buy a leggal version of CS1.6 then go back here if You have some problems...
