You post in totaly wrong forum your question. I'm moving this to Agora. However there is no other autolearning map bot other than the official CS bot for CS. Anyway there is project called RACC by Pierre that have this future but it has been never finished and maybe never will be. :(

Re: Bots autolearn

If I remember good the latest version of Stefan Hendriks' Realbot had the function like "autolearning" the map, but it's "auto" only if there are some human players walking on the map (the bot dll learns the ways the people are walking). But this bot is not developed long time anymore. And I don't know what do You mean by "so smart as podbots" - dunno if Realbot is in Your cathegory.

Re: Bots autolearn

There is a "bsp2rbn" utility in Realbot which can generate the waypoint automatically, but both the utility and the Realbot itself needs more work to be "so smart as podbots".

Re: Bots autolearn

could the bsp2rbn utility be modified to generate PODBot wps?

Is it so hard to ask things nicely? ;)

When I'll have time, I'll take a look at it. :)

in theory everything is possible. I think a lot of information can be ported to PODbots format. No jumping information however.

Re: Bots autolearn

Just a note: POD-Bot is very paranoid about the consistency of the waypoints (i.e., the waypoint graph must be strongly connected and there must be at least one certain types of waypoints e.g., "Terrorist/CT important", "Map Goal point", "Rescue Point", etc) which will possibly make the work more challenging.

I think thats a good thing. That way you kind of guarentee "when it works, it works". And that it wont work 'half way'.
