offer to help
Hi,
to help BU on getting the linux build(s) to work, i.e. get gcc to compile the bots for linux, i would like to make a poll to vote so that the council can make a decision. the work i would like to do, is install gcc 2.95.3 in addition to the standart gcc (i.e. won't break status quo) on the BU server, configure hlsdk2.3 and metamod for the compile environment. The sdk and metamod is allready patched for steam and known to work with HPB_Bot. Cheers MeMeD |
Re: offer to help
Yep! That's absolutelly necessary thing!
I'm also running a linux dedicated server, and currently looking for a good bot which compatible with cs 1.6, but only JoeBot and IvPBot usable for my server. I have no chance to try other bots because some of the bot-developers got a problem(have no time) with linux builds so delegating this rights to experienced person - good idea. |
Re: offer to help

Re: offer to help
I've read a number of memed's posts, and he seems to know what he's talking about, so I voted yes.
btw: does your name have anything to do with these things? |
Re: offer to help
Okay, already 3 people in the council are agreeing. The majority is reached. Validated !
memed, get in touch with me by PM and I'll let you in. I suppose you've got a SSH client ? You will need root access. What can be done, is that we could change the root password TEMPORARILY so as to let memed in, and then once memed tells us he's done, revert to the old password. It's just that we can't just give away the normal root password to anybody requesting it, you understand :) |
