It Didn't Work!!!
I put the files i was supposed to put in the ETMain folder and now my W:ET doesn't work, i get this message on the et Console:
recursive error 'Bad UI system trap: 57' after: Bad UI system trap: 57 Help me please! |
Re: It Didn't Work!!!
As far as I know, absolutely none of the files available on this site currently are intended to go into your etmain directory.
Everything relevant to Fritzbot should go into your Enemy Territory/Fritzbot/ path. Most likely if you extracted the botmod to your Etmain directory it would have overwritten a file or two and damaged the install at which point you would need to uninstall Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory and do a fresh install, patch up to Version 2.60 and then place fritzbot in its own proper folder. EDIT: As a sidenote, the maps you download from other sites to play with or without Fritz should go into your main directory but I'm pretty sure they'd work in your fritzbot folder too - they just wouldn't be available in normal ET if you did it that way, making it the unpreferred method. |
Re: It Didn't Work!!!
ok, you're right, thanks! im already installing it. So what i have to do is make a new folder in :c/program files/Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory that's called Fritzbot and put the files there?

Re: It Didn't Work!!!
Dont make the folder - that folder is already made in the .zip file. Extract the contents of the zip file into your Enemy Territory folder (NOT the ETMAIN folder!), it will create the fritzbot folder for you.
Cheers! |
Re: It Didn't Work!!!
Also, if you are using WinZip, make sure that the "Use Folder Names" option is checked so WinZip won't just dump the files into the folder you choose without regard to the directory structure.
