problems with CS 1.6

I installed everything and got the menu working but I add bots, and they just stay as spectators. They never join a team. This is after I started a "New Game" btw. Plz help. I've been trying to get this to work for hours. Thnxxxxxxx

Download the latest version. It is 5.1.
