Server crash when adding bot
I use dedicated server, metamod, latest joebot_mm.dll (using the one that is posted as message in forum, the very *lastest* one), WinXP.
When adding a bot, "joebot addbot ct", a bot named [JOE] join the team (sometimes he join "T" even tho i typed "ct"), then it crash exact same second as "Joined Terrorists" is seen. This did not happen when using old joebot_mm.dll. So main error: it crash every time. Second error: Should they not have a name? I think it can be a connection there...? |
Re: Server crash when adding bot
I have a similar problem as above. I run a dedicated server on my hostel lan
My Config: WinXP Prof. (SP2) CS 1.6 nonsteam ( I think CS-RU) (hlds version 4.1.1.1, hl version 1.1.1.1) Metamod 1.18.0.0 hlguard 1.72.0.0 Joebot 1.6.5.3 zip package from sourceforge. latest updated joebot_mm.dd from the post _http://forums.bots-united.com/showpost.php?p=43265&postcount=49_ Installation method: 1) unzipped package to a temp area. 2) copied joebot/cstrike/joebot to $PROGRAMFILES\Valve\cstrike\ 3) added the following line to metamod.ini "win32 joebot/joebot_mm.dll" 4) copied the joebot/joebot folder to $PROGRAMFILES\Valve\ 5) overwrote the cstrike\joebot\joebot_mm.dll with the updated dll. problem:Server starts up fine but crashes as soon as a bot is added. Didn't see the bot joining in the list of players as such. I tried the vanilla joebot dll too(using the liblist.gam), but CS crashed here too as soon as a bot was added to the game. I tried 2 methods of adding bots. 1) The default of bots being auto-added on a players joining. 2) joebot addbot 5 1 jb1 Both crashed the server. Notes: 1) No log was generated. it seems server crashed before it could start logging. 1) The dll loads up fine as the server console shows the following messages Code:
Bot menu language is ENGLISH 3)Hl_guard isn't screwing up joebot as i commented it out for testing. |
