Shutdown IRC
 

Over the last few months almost noone from BU has joined #bots-united...
Yet newb's join this channel from time to time about random CS bot related questions, which I mostly cannot answer.
Besides me only Ghoul (who is always idle) are most of the time on IRC. Splorygon and THE_STORM are there sometimes too, but not enough to handle the newb's :)

So... I'm not to sure if its handy to keep the channel alive :|

Well what will hapen if the channel is droped? The newb still can go to in. This is not a solution. :) However for one you are right - there must be more advanced BU users in to the this IRC channel to help to the newb.
And btw if the newb need by help they can use the BU forums. :)

hm? If you shutdown the IRC server and remove the link on to it on the forums, new newb's won't notice it ;)
Currently they all see a dead channel and might think that BU is dead/not worth it aswell.

Well yeah im sorry i didn't drop in on IRC lately But since im using Venrtilo i keep forgetting about the IRC. Well i also kept "forgetting" it because only CS players came to ask question. I got a bit tired of that. 9_9

I didn't vote yet.
I missed an option....
Keep it but don't use it for support.

Yes...and since noone can answer those questions..:)

Like the title of the channel should be "General BU chat. For support questions please use the forums"?
That doesn't sound to bad :)

Well I can help to the newb for CS (my fevor game). And I still think that the channel must stay turned on. 8D

I really don't know. I would be tempted to vote yes, but I hardly ever use IRC anymore. I'm certainly one of the people to blame if no BU member can be found there.

i uses irc all the time now.. since its required when im this league for bf2.. and i beta testar a hl2 mod.. never thought about #bots-united.. ill add it my list..

ill be on ther most of the time.. so if anyone want to come and talk dirty i be there.. unless you are some crazy french man having a male and a female name ending with baty.. :p¨
