Menu problem

Hello,

I am having an error when trying to open the config. My podbotmenu is binded to my L key. When ever i press it, i get white text saying '#Main_menu1#Main_menu2'. What do i do to prevent this or to open my menu? I am asking because the bots talk too much and i wish to configure it so they dont talk at all. I am using counterstrike 1.6 on steam and playing on LAN.

thanks in advance.

write in console

and show us the contest of it.

Go to Your podbot.cfg file (placed in podbot directory) and find the line:
botchat on
and change it to:
botchat off

Look at the end of the file podbot.cfg - there is a bind:
bind "=" "podbotmenu"
change it to
bind "l" "podbotmenu"
(I think You have it already).
I guess You are using listenserver (you are creating the game and You are playing on the same computer), right?

i have podbotmenu binded but all i see is '#main_menu1#main_menu2'. is this because i am not running on openGL graphics?

Re: Menu problem

The problem You mentioned it's kinda like Your Steam is a bit broken. I've experienced one day some problems with menus under CS1.6 (but it wasn't problem with podbotmenu). What I did - I've let to Steam be updated. I deleted the file ...\steam\ClientRegistry.blob - then Steam - after starting - updated it-self (it took a long time on my bad LAN internet connection, because it's about 100MB or even more) and at least for me - it helped me and the problem was gone.
But I can't be sure if it will help You. You can try it if You have some good internet connection and You don't care about time of updating Your Steam via internet.
