What would you do?
 

Ok. For those who do not know this already; i am at a school with TONS of girls. I am studying for a primary school teacher.... and since in this country 90% of the 'wannabe primary school teachers' is female... you can count on it i have a good time in the summer.

Anyway. I recently heard something odd. I was kinda like , wtf. I wonder how you think about it. A girl openly talked to me about the fact she had an 'affair' with a guy at the same school (i even know the guy... well vagualy :)) and she only has a 'sex affair' with him. So it was kind alike:

"hmm i am in the mood"
- phones dude
"yo david, i am in the mood, you too"
david: "Yeah"
"ok meet you at the <name a spot>"

etc

kinda like that. I was like WTF?!

I mean, she was convinced with her Carpe Diem theory. Ok, i like that 'way of living' as well. But if i would do such a thing? I don't know honestly heh ;) Ow, they are both single.. and they had some agreement when one of them got a girlfriend/boyfriend. This 'affair' would end.

Ok. So actually i was shocked because of:
1. she told me, like i was her best friend and needed to tell. We call it TMI - To Much Information
2. TMI
3. i never thought people so close to me would even do that (meaning in distance, not because i know that girl very well).

so, what would you do?

What would i do? I don't know. Honestly i don't know. I am single now, but i know for sur ei won't just get with someone i meet immidiatly. Well, you mus tknow i don't drink heh ;)

I like the Carpe Diem phylosophy, but I don't follow it that hard :P

At the risk of shocking people I will say that I don't see any problem with such a situation.

I used to know a guy and a gal, both friends of mine, who had the same arrangment. They lived it pretty well AFAIK. It took me time to get used to it though. There was a difference anyway, for their "arrangment" was coming into play when either of them was in a bad mood.

I'm a very pragmatic person :)

what's wrong with such behavior ? as others already posted, as long as they are both fine with it and noone of them has other goals like having the other partner for a serious relationship ...

well yeah, when both agree i don't really see a problem either. Though i think its just it does not 'feel' right. And don't take that literaly, because i think those who do this kind of stuff pretty do it because it feels great heh

well, I also know ppl who give you more information than you basically want to know, but well, ppl are different.

but maybe I shouldnt post in such threads, i'm studying physics :)

rofl @ pmb. Perhaps that girl thought "hey a boy on our school, thats special. Let me tell him some juicy details about my life"...

to be honest, 99% of our population is girls. ... gives me good times in summer :D

I read somewhere that the female/male ratio here in heidelberg in the age of 20-25 is 1.2 / 1 .... lol, but I guess that cannot stress a serious weirdo :P

back to serious matters, for example numerical integration using romberg extrapolation :D
