Problems with cs 1.5
 

Hey, I got realbot to work great on 1.6. I am using the newest WIP. The only problem is i have to be online to play 1.6, this sucks concidering I am on a 26.4k connection right now :)

So I decided to install realbot onto my 1.5 setup. I really like the new version because of the no need for waypoints and whatnot so I decided to switch from 1.0 or whatever the current "official" release is. However I cannot get metmod to load realbot_mm.dll I've tried playing around with it, and even tried to type in the path manually inside CS. but no luck. Can anyone help me, are the WIP's 1.6 only (if so that sucks cause waypoints are hard to find and 26.4k takes forever).

If anyone canhelp me I would really appreciate it.

No it should works with cs 1.5. But you can't load the bot by typing the path oh the dll in the console. You have to use metamod, just like you did for cs 1.6.

It worked great, with no problems for 1.6.


I got 1.0 loaded on 1.5 just fine, bots showed up and bowed down to me :D

but then I set up the WIP (I already had metamod running, I had amx and other mods installed) but then it wouldn't load it up. it said when i typed 'meta list' in the console that there was 1 plugin found but none running, I had already gone through and taken amx and all the other plugins out of the plugins.ini from the metamod folder.

and other than that I have everything exactly the same as my 1.6 setup.

I've even tried typing 'meta load realbot_mm.dll' and 'meta retry realbot_mm.dll' and every other thing that looked relavent when i went throught the commands by typing 'meta help' in the console.

it's got me stumped that's why I came here :) for the experts 8)

I forgot to mention that I am running a listen LAN server. since my internet sucks :)

I think I've found your problem. You said metamod was already installed on your cs 1.5. But remember, the wip needs its own "metamod.dll" compiled by the new driver ;) (stefan) and PMB. You'll find it the reabot website. Download the dll, make a backup of the old one, and replace it.
Your rb should work.

even though I copied it over from the 1.6 folder?

I did replace the metamod.dll because it does say right in the realbot install that 1.7 is needed in order for it to run.

Yes but this 1.7 is customed... compiled to work for realbot.
